Recipes Galore Sandwiches - # 01
* Cinnamon Toast *
Method: |
- Mix cinnamon with granulated sugar, using
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon To
3 Tablespoons Sugar.
- Sprinkle this mixture generously over hot buttered toast.
- Serve Hot.

* French Toast *
Ingredients: |
- 3 Eggs
- 1 1/2 Cups Milk Or
3/4 Cup Evaporated Milk
And 3/4 Cup Water
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Teaspoons Sugar
- 10 Slices Stale Bread Cut In Half
- 1/4 Cup Butter Or Bacon Drippings
- Icing Sugar

Method: |
- Beat eggs thoroughly, add next 3 ingredients and beat well.
- Dip each slice of bread in milk mixture for a few seconds,
then place in heated heavy skillet in which butter has
been heated.
- Cook until golden brown on underside,
turn and cook on other side.
- Add more fat as required.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve at once with syrup.
- Yield: 5 Servings.

* Garlic Bread *
Method: |
- Mash 2 peeled cloves garlic to a paste.
- Stir garlic into 1/3 cup soft butter.
- Slice a loaf of French Bread 1 inch thick,
not quite through to the bottom.
- Spread slices apart slightly, but not enough to break apart,
spread one side of each slice thinly with garlic butter.
- If desired, sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Slide onto a baking sheet;
place in oven at ( 425 ° F ) 10 to 12 minutes or
until blistering hot and edges are toasted.
- Serve in a long basket lined with a napkin.
- Yield: 5 To 6 Servings.
